While Israelis and Palestinians are engaged in war for supremacy over the land of Israel, they are also engaged in a battle for dominance over religious sites. The Palestinians and Israelis are each trying to prove their historic and religious connection and ultimately rights to various holy sites including the Cave of the Patriarchs and Rachel’s Tomb. Come and explore the evolution of the fight for Rachel’s Tomb.

Yael Weinstein

Teacher, The Florence Melton School of Adult Jewish Learning
Yael Weinstein earned her M.A. in Near Eastern and Judaic Studies from Brandeis University in 2006. While at Brandeis, Yael had the opportunity to work as a teaching assistant for Ambassador Dennis Ross. Yael also works with the curriculum development team at the international Melton office at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, helping to revise and write current Melton course material.
