Uncovering the Dark Side: Jewish Demonology Through The Ages

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Though not widely known, there is a rich tradition of Jewish demonology going back to the Rabbinic period. From Lillith to Ashmodai, from Samael to Baal Zevuv, demonic figures have been dancing through the jewish imagination for ages. Join Phd candidate Rabbi Ben Newman, as he leads us through the "dark side" of Jewish folklore. Our journey will take us through rabbinic texts, medieval and early modern practical kabbalah literature, folk tales, and more, as we uncover the dark side of Judaism.
