The Rabbis' Panel: Open Dor, The Generation of Change

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

With Marc Soloway (Conservative), Gavriel Goldfeder (Orthodox), and Josh Rose (Reform). Each of these rabbis grew up with a Judaism different from the one they now practice. In addition, as they matured in their understanding of Judaism, they also came to question the denominational boundaries each one, in theory, today represents. In this moderated panel, they will discuss how the Judaism they grew up with became the Judaism they now practice, what was lost and gained in the transition, how the movements they find themselves in now have changed, and why, despite their challenges to the very idea of denominations, they remain in those movements.
