From Holocaust Survivors to Thrivers to Coasters: A Cross-Generational Look at Personality in Our Jewish World

Over the last 70 years there have been changes in attitudes toward social, political and communal areas of life. The goal of the Holocaust survivor generation was to regenerate. That generation gave birth to children focused on creating safety and comfort. The lesson for the children of this generation became tinged with entitlement. Survivors envy grandchildren’s comfort, but there is concern regarding the strength needed to survive. This session will encourage input from participants.
