This session represents a wide range of standpoints on the state of Israel, its relationship to global Jews, its contemporary politics, and its centrality (or lack thereof) in contemporary Jewish life. Participants will hear how highly engaged Jews relate to the state across the political spectrum and how they came to have the relationship to the state of Israel that they have. The panel will not attempt to convince others of one's opinions or debate contemporary Israel/Palestine politics.
