This session will explore rabbinic sources in order to open a discussion about the chiyuv (obligation) for women to exercise leadership in the Jewish community. We will also discuss the obligation of the community to empower women.

Sharon Weiss-Greenberg

Director of Recruitment, Yeshivat Maharat
Sharon Weiss-Greenberg currently serves as the Director of Recruitment for Yeshivat Maharat and teaches at Denver Academy of Torah (DAT) High School. Sharon is a PhD candidate at NYU. Sharon previously taught at Harvard Hillel. She also studied Talmud and Halakha at The Drisha Institute for Jewish Education. She received her MA in Education and her BA in Sociology and Jewish History from Yeshiva University.
