Chaim (Harvey) Hames

Chaim (Harvey) Hames is chair of the General History Department at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev. His research interests include Medieval and Renaissance Jewish and Christian mysticism and philosophy, apocalypticism, inter-religious polemics and religious conversion. He recently published I (do not) Believe: Israel and Judaism – Past, Present, Future (in Hebrew, Ktav 2011).  He is in Colorado serving as a visiting scholar at the University of Colorado Boulder as part of the Center for Humanities and the Arts' Translation workshop and with the Department of Spanish and Portguese and the Program in Jewish Studies.
